Tara has a gift for making a Tuesday afternoon look like a holiday. She's 34, a mum of two in London, with brown hair that goes golden in the sun and a laugh you can hear from the next room. She's relaxed, a little disorganised and very good company.
We caught up with her on her day off, which she'd planned carefully by not planning it at all.

The Interview
What does being a mum do to your personality?
You become a multitasking machine. You can stir a pot, answer a text and settle an argument about a sticker all at once. Then you get ninety seconds of quiet and it feels like a spa.
What's your ideal day off?
Sunshine, good food, somewhere pretty and no schedule. I'm not asking for much.
Are you more adventurous now than in your twenties?
A lot more. I know myself better now. At 22 I said yes to things to be polite. Now I say yes to things I actually want, and no to the rest without writing an essay about it.
What's the best thing about your thirties?
Overthinking less. Okay, I still overthink. Just a bit less, and for shorter stretches.

What makes someone attractive?
Energy. Some people walk in and everyone relaxes. I'd take that over a perfect jawline any day.
What makes you laugh?
Terrible jokes. My taste in humour is awful. Dad jokes make me cry.
What's your worst habit?
I start projects and abandon them. I have three half-painted chairs in my kitchen. They've been there since spring and I walk past them like they're furniture in a hotel.
Quick Fire
- Golden hour or midnight? Golden hour, always.
- Beach or city? Beach, and I'll sulk if it's the city.
- Snack drawer? Salt and vinegar crisps and one lonely carrot.
- Holiday style? Book nothing, go everywhere.
- Playlist? Old summer songs, even in January.

Our Take
Tara's best quality is that she seems relaxed. There's no sense that she's building a persona. Her appeal is easy and natural, like someone who has a busy life and has learned to enjoy the moments when she can switch off.
That matters when you're scrolling photos online, where it's easy for a person to become just a face and a figure. Tara doesn't come across that way. She feels like someone you'd enjoy having dinner with, the kind of dinner that starts with what you're eating and ends three hours later when the staff want to go home.
And yes, the golden hour photos help. But the real temptation isn't the light. It's Tara.
